You can customize the 3D object editor in the options panel beneath the Edit and View panels.

To change how many 3D objects are drawn in a circle,

Change the number labeled Parts by clicking the up or down arrows or typing a new value and pressing Tab or Enter. In the two View panels (not in the Edit panel) you will see the number of parts you selected, drawn in a circle around a point. This is useful when you are working on 3D objects you plant to use on flowers or fruits.

To change how large the points are drawn,

Change the number labeled Point size by clicking the up or down arrows or typing a new value and pressing Tab or Enter. In the Edit panel (not the two View panels) you will see the effect of your change on the size of the points on the 3D object.

To change how the 3D object is drawn,

Check or uncheck Fill triangles to change whether triangles are filled in. If this option is unchecked the 3D object is shown as a wire frame. You cannot turn off drawing lines when you arent filling triangles (there would be nothing to see but points).

Check or uncheck Draw lines to draw lines between the points. Turning this off is useful to see what the 3D object would look like with no lines on the plant.
