Special options for JPEG output
There are three major differences between saving BMP output and saving JPEG output from PlantStudio.
▪ JPEG files vary widely in size because of compression, so PlantStudio makes no estimate of JPEG size. This probably won’t cause you any trouble because JPEG files are pretty small.
▪ You can’t choose a color depth with JPEG as you can with BMP. PlantStudio only saves 24-bit JPEG files.
▪ You can set JPEG compression to anwhere between 1 (lowest compression, highest quality) and 100 (highest compression, lowest quality). Try a few compression settings to see what you like best.
