Randomizing plants
Randomizing a plant changes the random number seed of the plant’s random number generator and regrows the plant. This means that the plant makes some random choices differently the second time it grows, so you get a slightly different plant after randomization. Usually randomizing only affects some angles and branching decisions. Randomizing is useful for creating a bunch of plants of the same type that look slightly different for creating a composition.
To randomize plants in the main window,
▪ Select the plants.
▪ Choose Randomize from the Plant menu. The plants will regrow and redraw slightly differently. You can try randomizing several times until you are happy with the random variations you see.
To randomize a new plant in the wizard,
▪ Go through the wizard to the last page (where the Next button says Finish).
▪ Click Randomize. The plant shown in the preview will change in appearance slightly. Keep clicking until you are happy with the plant.
▪ You cannot undo randomizing inside the wizard.
To randomize a breeder plant,
▪ Select the plant, then choose Randomize from the breeder Breed menu.
To randomize all breeder plants,
▪ Choose Randomize All from the breeder Breed menu.
