Using number parameter panels
A number parameter panel shows a numerical parameter, either a real number or an integer.
In a number parameter panel, the name is in blue at the top. The value is to the left side. The unit is next to the name. The bounds are to the left and right of the slider.
To change the value in a number parameter panel,
▪ Click on the slider and drag to the left or right. The plant will respond to the change when you release the mouse button.
-or-
▪ Click on the slider and press a left or right arrow key on the keyboard. This will change the parameter value by a small amount (usually 1% of the range for the parameter).
-or-
▪ Click on the value at the far left of the panel (or press Enter when it is selected), type a new number in the dialog that appears, then click OK.
You cannot set a number outside the bounds shown in the panel. To change the bounds, see Changing global parameter bounds and defaultsChanging_global_parameter_bounds_and_defaults>main.
To change the unit in a number parameter panel,
▪ Click on the unit next to the value (or press Enter when the unit is selected). If the unit doesn’t change, there are no other units you can change it to. (Not that many of the parameters can change units.)
