If you 

▪        copy a picture and can't paste it into your graphics program, or

▪        save a picture to a bitmap file and then can't read the file, or

▪        print a picture and nothing comes out of the printer (or it is garbled),

Try these solutions:

▪        In the picture export options window (when you copy, save or print a picture), set the color depth to 256 colors or 24-bit color (see Choosing picture color depthChoosing_picture_color_depth>second). Most programs and printers support these options.

▪        In the picture export options window, reduce the export resolution. Some printers cannot handle printing large pictures (over 64K). If you can copy, save or print using a lower resolution, the problem probably has to do with the memory size of the bitmap.

▪        Try pasting the picture into another graphics program (if you can paste but can’t print or save). If the picture comes out in the other program, you can save or print the picture from that program. For example, we've pasted pictures successfully using all the color depths PlantStudio supports into Microsoft Paint, which comes with Windows 95/NT.

▪        Some printers do not support the stretching method PlantStudio uses to print the picture. If nothing prints for you, try using a print size equal to the picture size (click Suggest in the picture export options window).
