Sometimes in using PlantStudio you’ll end up with a few plants that have the same name. (It doesn’t stop you from doing that.) You might find this to be a problem when you read the plants into your 3D program and can’t distinguish them. To avoid this you can have PlantStudio throw a plant sequence number before the name of each plant. To write a plant number before each name, check the checkbox labeled Write plant number in front of name in the Other options panel of the 3D export options window. 

Special considerations for writing plant numbers:

▪        Some 3D programs don’t like this, because they think a name starting with a number doesn’t qualify as a name. If your 3D program won’t read your files, try turning this option off.

▪        This option isn’t available for POV export.
