To turn on or off the hints that appear over buttons and other interface items,

▪        Choose Hints > Show Long Button Hints from the Options menu.

To turn on or off the hints that appear over the parameter panels on the Parameters tab section of the main window, 

▪        Choose Hints > Show Parameter Hints from the Options menu.
