Posing plants means changing aspects of individual plant parts: internodes (stem segments), meristems (buds), leaves, inflorescences (flower clusters), and flowers/fruits. Posing is useful when you have a plant that looks almost the way you want, but a flower or leaf or branch isn't turned the right way or isn't the size you want. You can use posing to artificially create (without explicitly modeling) the look of pruning, twining around things, variation, damage, and the effects of gravity or wind by amending branches or leaves "by hand.

Posing changes:

are saved in the plant file

disappear when you do anything that causes the plant's "grown" parts to change, such as randomizing the parameters or changing any parameter that causes the plant to restructure

       dont carry over into breeding

do show up in a time series

General tips on posing

Every type of action that can remove posing changes can be undone, so if your posing changes suddenly disappear, just undo until you get the changes back.

Be wary of the Ignore all posing option . If it is turned on, youll be able to pose parts, but you wont be able to see what youre doing. Its best to turn this option on only temporarily, to see what the plant would look like without posing, and then put it back to its normal state again.

Plant part numbers move up the plant from bottom to top. So if you are looking at a list of ten posed parts and you want to pick the top one, pick the highest number.

Posing is new to PlantStudio 2.0, so if you send a posed plant to someone and they open it in PlantStudio 1.x, it wont be posed.
