Changing rotations of plant parts by posing
Once you’ve selected a plant partChoosing_a_plant_part_for_posing and posedPosing_and_unposing_plant_parts it, you can rotate it. You don’t have to worry about “this part and all parts above it” for rotating as you do for hidingHiding_plant_parts_by_posing or scalingChanging_scaling_of_plant_parts_by_posing, because rotating always rotates everything above any plant part. It has to – the parts are all stuck together.
To rotate a posed plant part,
▪ You should have already selectedChoosing_a_plant_part_for_posing and posedPosing_and_unposing_plant_parts the plant part, and you should see some posing checkboxes in the Posing panel for that plant part.
▪ Check the box labeled Add an extra rotation to this part of.
▪ Click the up or down arrows for the edit boxes labeled X, Y, or Z degrees, or type a new number in one of the boxes and press Tab or Enter.
Tips on rotating parts
▪ PlantStudio will let you rotate a plant part that is hidden. Just be aware that it might not make any difference.
▪ The X, Y and Z rotations might have different effects depending on what direction the plant part is facing. Just try them and see what happens.
▪ You can produce a curved stem by rotating each internode in turn, thus:
