Changing scaling of plant parts by posing
Once you’ve selected a plant partChoosing_a_plant_part_for_posing and posedPosing_and_unposing_plant_parts it, you can scale it.
To scale a posed plant part,
▪ You should have already selectedChoosing_a_plant_part_for_posing and posedPosing_and_unposing_plant_parts the plant part, and you should see some posing checkboxes in the Posing panel for that plant part.
▪ Check the box labeled Multiply this part’s.
▪ Click the up or down arrows for the edit boxes labeled 3D object scale, line length, or line width; or type a new number in one of the boxes and press Tab or Enter.
▪ If there is nothing in the part you chose that responds to that type of scaling (e.g., if it is a line and you increase the 3D object scale), nothing will happen. Otherwise, the plant part will grow or shrink as you change the numbers.
▪ To apply the scaling change up the plant until the next posed part, click the box labeled Keep doing this up to the next posed part with dependents. An explanation of how this works can be found in the help on hidingHiding_plant_parts_by_posing (it works the same for scaling).
Tips on scaling plant parts
▪ When you change the scale of a plant part, you will change the scale of all of the 3D objects that make up the plant part. You can’t scale these separately. For example, if you specify leaf stipules2UUQ_X_ with leaves, then pose a leaf and make it larger, the stipule will get larger too. The same applies to the parts of a flower.
▪ Changing individual scales is a good way to create more realistic patterns in plant leaves and flowers.
