Changing viewing options for posing
In the upper right-hand corner of the Posing panel and on the Options menu you can change three important viewing options related to posing.
Highlighting
▪ If the Highlight Posed Parts option is turned on, the parts of the plant with posing applied to them will appear in a special color (blue by default), and the selected posed part will appear in a very special color (red by default). This is similar to the rectangles around selected plants and the focused plant8IN1RV>second in special colors in the main window drawing area.
▪ If the Highlight Posed Parts option is turned off, all plant parts will appear in their normal colors whether they are posed or not.
▪ You can change the colors used for posing highlighting; choose Preferences from the Edit menu, click the Posing tab, and change the colors labeled Highlighting color for all posed plant parts and Highlighting color for selected posed plant part.
Ghosting
▪ If the Ghost Hidden Parts option is turned on, any posed parts that have the option Hide this part and all parts that depend on it turned on (or if their predecessors do) will be drawn in a special color (gray by default).
▪ If the Ghost Hidden Parts option is turned off, any posed parts that have the option Hide this part and all parts that depend on it turned on (or if their predecessors do) will NOT be drawn at all. They will be invisible.
▪ You can change the color used for ghosting; choose Preferences from the Edit menu, click the Posing tab, and change the color labeled Ghosting color.
Ignoring posing
▪ If the Ignore All Posing option is turned on, any posed plants will not look like they are posed at all. This option is mainly to take a quick look at the difference between the plant as you’ve posed it and the plant with no posing. Be careful not to leave it on, because you won’t be able to see any of your posing changes. (You can still make them, but you won’t see them.)
▪ If the Ignore All Posing option is turned off, posing will work normally.
These pictures should help to explain the viewing options for posing.
